Residential Design
BE HELD BY YOUR SPACE
Bring the feeling of home and intention into your surroundings to create ambiance. With space planning, materials & finishes, color, texture, lighting & furniture style let’s work together on a design that defines your sanctuary. What does it mean to create a space that reflects the very essence of YOU? What a joy it is to be HOME in your surroundings.
Wellness Design
CREATING INTENTIONAL SPACES TO DEFINE YOUR SANCTUARY
What does your favorite reading corner look like?
What does it FEEL like?
Your favorite coffee spot?
Your favorite restaurant?
Is it the food or the ambiance that keeps you coming back?
Let’s design your space intentionally so that it defines your sanctuary. Imagine a home where you can feel at peace, where your body, mind and spirit can rest yet be inspired at the same time.
There are many ways to approach ‘wellness design’, and as a Massage Therapist, I am no stranger to talking about healing spaces. Through this process we would work together to identify what creates the feeling you want your room to portray. This is achieved through colors, textures, plants, lighting, artwork, furniture style, space, patterns, and the list goes on.
In addition to ‘wellness’ in the form of healthy emotions, wellness design can also include focus on indoor air quality, sustainable materials, light quality, healthy lifestyle habits, and so on.
The Design Process:
Whether you are here for ‘wellness design’ or simply Interior Design, the goal is to finish off your space in a way that feels like a reflection of ‘you’. It should have an ambiance that brings you joy, relaxation, and ultimately ‘holds you’ in comfort.
Check out the following drop down menu to see more details in what this process looks like when working with Hold Designs.
We look forward to working with you on your project.
-
Let’s meet up and discuss your project! This step is to establish the project scope, gather details including space planning needs, preferences in materials, finishes, and color. This initial meeting will communicate to us your overall vision.
-
Once you have decided you would like to move forwards, then we meet up at the ‘starting line’. This is when we meet on site. I gather more details of your vision within the space, take measurements, photos, etc.
-
This step is for establishing a visual direction. We present you with ‘mood boards’ showing visual examples of spaces, materials and finishes to help establish your preferred style.
-
This is where we present the layout design of your space planning. Note: If there are walls planning to be moved, we will need to be in touch with your other contractors/engineers on this layout prior to this meeting. With this layout presentation, we will call out the transitions in spaces/ materials, as well as plan for furniture layout and scale.
-
Here we present you with ‘sample boards’ establishing the detailing of your preferences. This will include choices in materials, finishes, colors, furniture, fixtures, etc.
-
At this point, the final selections have been made with materials, finishes, color, furniture, fixtures & equipment. We have been and will continue to be in communication with your contractor/builder to execute these design choices efficiently.
-
Your completed project will be finalized with finishing touches, photographed and ready to show off to all your friends!
